Obituary

Jacqueline A. Moses-Robinson, 59 of Gloucester, sadly passed away on March 26, 2015 surrounded by friends and family. She was born in Gloucester on March 7, 1956 to James Moses of Gloucester and the late Rose (Corliss) Moses who died April 12, 2014. She was a graduate of Gloucester High School, class of 1974 and went on to North Shore Community College. After college she held many jobs but none were as important to her as her work taking care of the elderly.

Jackie was a born comedian. She would do anything to make people laugh. She was Gloucester's very own Joan Rivers and Mary Tyler Moore rolled into one. Her smile and personality could light up any room.

Jackie had a love for all things crafts. She was often found in the middle of a crafting project, that was usually abandoned to begin another crafting project. Jackie mostly loved spending time with her grandchildren; having sleepovers, cooking, watching movies, taking walks in the rain, jumping in puddles and creating fun projects. Her children and grandchildren will fondly remember her amazingly famous bedtime stories.

Jackie will be remembered for her huge heart and generous spirit. She was often found bringing trays of home-cooked meals to the local Police Department and cab stands.

She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, daughter and friend. She will be terribly missed by all who knew her.

Jackie is survived by her two daughters, Rachel Farrar and Natasha Robinson one son-in-law, Nathan Farrar, three sisters, Cindy Moses, Joanne Harris, Karen Beauparlant, three brothers James Moses Jr. Peter Moses, Wayne Moses and two grandchildren, Brandon and Hunter Farrar, amoung many loved nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Thomas, Paul and Gregory Moses.

A celebration of life for Jackie is planned for Wednesday, April 1 at the Gloucester Elks at Bass Rocks from 4-8 PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend to share stories. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Jackie's name to the Hilary and Ruby Lee Ryan Scholarship Fund at 5 Exchange Street. Gloucester, MA 01930.
