Obituary

Frances left us on May 6th, 2017 with her loving family at her side to be with her husband John and son Greg.

She was a lifelong resident of Gloucester; born here October 28, 1929.

She worked along the waterfront for years making many lifelong friends.

She was an active woman who loved to walk and visit family and friends. She loved her large boisterous family and holidays were always a special time to laugh, joke and tease one other with many stories from the past. She loved to play cards with her sisters Nina, Josie and Mary. Although one game would last for hours as talking and laughing was more important then who won. She was a member of the Mother of Grace society and the Madonna del Rosaria.

She was survived by son Sam and his wife Linda and daughter Donna as well as her grandchildren Derek Burnham and wife Brandelyn, Scott Burnham and wife Cathy, Brian DeCaro and wife Grace, John DeCaro and wife Rachel, Sam DeCaro and wife Danielle, Jaime DeCaro, Katie Swett, Christie Swett and partner Jen Royal. Her great grandchildren are Ryan Burnham, Annabelle Laclair, Ella Burnham, Indigo Birk, Calum Royal, Aisling Royal, Isla Royal, Katerina Noto, Guiseppe Noto, Cera DeCaro, Liam DeCaro, Amina DeCaro, Gregory DeCaro and James DeCaro. She leaves behind sisters Mary Reis, Josie Parisi and Nina Sweet as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded by her husband John G. DeCaro, her son Greg DeCaro. Her brothers Joe Orlando and wife Peggy, Sam Orlando and wife Lillian; sisters Katie Cataldo and husband Tony, Rose Marino and husband Jimmy.
