Obituary

Mrs. Deborah J. Amero, 57, of Gloucester, passed away unexpectedly on Friday morning, November 3, 2017 at home. She was the loving wife of Douglas F. Amero with whom she shared 24 years of marriage.

Deb was born May 14, 1960 in Tewksbury. She is the daughter of Judith Buffum and her companion Gerald Degroot of Flagler Beach, FL. She was a graduate of Tewksbury High School and has resided in Gloucester for the past 30 years.

Deb worked at NOAA doing Data Entry until having to retire due to ill health. She previously worked at Varien.

Deb and Doug enjoyed being seasonal campers at Pine Acres Campground where she enjoyed playing horse shoes and was the announcer for the Horseracing. She also enjoyed doing table puzzles, crossword puzzles and taking many trips with Doug.

In addition to her loving husband Doug and her mother, Deb is survived by her brother Charles Buffum of Danville, NH, her sister Candace Charette and her husband Jeff of Hooksett, NH, her niece Carolyn Charette, her nephews Jason and Keith Silva. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Linda Silva and her husband Brian of Gloucester, her brothers-in-law David Amero and Philip Amero and his wife Mary all of Gloucester. She also leaves behind her loving Pomeranian Rusty.

She was predeceased by her previous Pomeranian, a very loyal companion Rambo.

Deb's visiting hours will be in the Pike-Newhall Funeral Home, 61 Middle St. Gloucester on Thursday evening, November 9, 2017 from 5-7 PM. Her Funeral Service will be in the Funeral Home on Friday morning November 10, 2017 at 11AM. Interment will follow in Dolliver Memorial Cemetery, West Gloucester.
