David S. Milne 76, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 with his family at his side. He was the husband of Kathleen L. (Asaro) Milne with whom he shared 35 years of marriage,

Dave was born in Gloucester October 20, 1940 to Anne (Lawton) and Adelbert "Ducky" Milne. Dave resided in Gloucester until moving to Danvers three years ago. He was a graduate of Gloucester High School, class of 1959.

Dave enlisted with the United States Army serving in Panama as part of the Army Security Agency, crypto repair with top secret clearance. He was honorably discharged in 1963. Upon his return from the service Dave worked briefly at Bomac in Beverly then accepted a position at General Electric, Lynn. He began his career as an assembler, was promoted to technical writer and retired after 34 years as manager of F404 engine line, technical manuals.

Following retirement Dave and Kathy enjoyed several winters in Florida. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was always on the sidelines of his grandchildren's sporting events and enjoyed many morning's and afternoon's with his "coffee buddies" both in Gloucester and Danvers.

In addition to his wife Kathy, he is survived by his daughter's, Amy and husband Tim Gallagher, Kristi Benoit and companion Jim Webster.
Grandchildren Marissa and husband Nick Curcuru, Kali Maltese, Ryann Maltese, Kaitlyn Benoit, Ryan Benoit and Shannon Milne Gallagher. Great Grandchildren Mackenzie and Nolan Curcuru. Mother and Father-in-law Sam and Louisa Asaro. Brothers and Sisters-in-law Linda Burnham and companion Gino Compton, Louise Bertolino, Pam and Peter Couture, Peter and Karen Asaro, Joseph and Crisann Asaro and Terese' Asaro. Several cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by two brothers, Richard and Dana Milne and a grandson Timothy Gallagher Jr.

In keeping with Dave's wishes services are private.
